Welcome to ECBE, the largest of the 5 departments in the College of Engineering at URI. As implied by our acronym, we offer academic programs leading to B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in three related fields: electrical, computer, and biomedical engineering. Our students are taught by dynamic faculty, which are known nationally and internationally for their research and educational work.
The department conducts research in a wide range of fields, including Signal Processing, Sensors and Integrated Circuits, High-performance Computing, Data Integrity and Network Security, Neurally controlled artificial Limbs, Assisted Living Devices, Non-invasive Brain Interfaces, etc.
I encourage you to spend some time exploring our web site and familiarize yourself with the department. If you would like to learn more about us through a personal visit, please contact us to make a reservation.
