Since the lab time is short (3hrs) you will have to know what you are going to do before you come to lab. Before lab,

  • Read the lab over. (Understand. Ask in lecture. Question obscure points.)
  • Plan your experiment. (Sketch the circuit.)
  • Run simulations.
    • Requirements
  • The lab experiments are done by teams of two or three students.
  • To pass the course, each student must do all 8 experiments. Each group hands in one report for each lab. Reports are due when the lab next meets.(Usually the following week.) There is a 10%/week grade penalty for late labs.
  • Report responsibility rotates. That is, one team member is responsible for the lab report and receives the grade for that lab. The next week a different team member is responsible for the report and receives the grade for that lab. Team members have equal responsibiliry for the final project.
  • Report requirements
  • If you do not pass the lab, you do not pass the course.
  • A formal proposal and a formal report are due for lab 8.

    Grades
    Lab counts for 25% of your grade for the course. Project proposals account for an additional 15% of your course grade for a total of 40% for the lab. Proposals are graded separately.
