Ele 342 Electronics I
Course Objectives
To Understand
- Understand the functionality of common electronic devices such as diodes, transistors, op-amps, etc. on a physical level so that simplified models can be devised. Understand the crucial role of mathematics in this modeling process. Understand different methods of describing a physical system (e.g. schematics, netlists, equations, flow-graphs, etc.).
To Question
- The ability to assess the outcome of a possibly complex analysis procedure based on insight and first-order approximations so that results that are unexpected (suspicious) or presented with insufficient evidence can be questioned and investigated further.
To Design
- Design circuits and systems that perform a wide range of functions required in signal processing, communication and computer network applications.
To Lead
to participate in a team-based design project
To Communicate
prepare written lab and project reports
