Overview
Proposals for research and development in electronics are requested. Proposals should cover what is to be accomplished. Successful proposals will clearly state how the work is to be done. Proposals should convince that the project will be successful and that the work is worthwhile.
Scope
Projects should be limited to two weeks. The work should be based primarily on material covered in ELE342.
Proposal Format
The proposal should contain the following sections.
Cover page The title of the project and the names of team members, including their major(Electrical, Computer or Biomedical Engineering) should appear on the cover page.Summary   The summary briefly describes the project.
Problem addressed   This section should state what problem the project will address. The problem might be related to how the results of the work can be used or the problem could be associated with some design aspect of the work itself. In this section you should demonstrate an ability to identify, formulate, and solve engineering problems.
Narrative   This section describes the project. It should contain the following sub sections,
Timeline   There should be a bar graph describing when tasks will be accomplished. Possible tasks include, background research, project design, hardware construction, taking measurements (demonstrating performance), analyzing and interpreting data, and writing up the report.
An example of a time line is shown in Figure 1.
Budget   Limited funds are available to support projects. If the proposed work requires any special components or if there are any other expenses, they should be listed.
