This is a course in the design of biCMOS analog integrated circuits. A design project is the focus of the course. Students design a BiCMOS circuit for fabrication by ON Semiconductor.

Offered Spring 03 at ON Semiconductor MW 12:30-1:45.

Instructor: J. C. Daly   daly@ele.uri.edu   874.5844   742-5759(cell)

After completion of this course you will be able to;

  1. Analyze the effects of temperature and process variations on biCMOS circuit performance.
  2. Design biCMOS integrated circuits composed of;
    1. current sources
    2. voltage references
    3. opamps
    4. hysteresis oscillators
    5. switched regulators
    6. digital logic and memory
  3. Use SPICE to simulate biCMOS circuits
  4. Design a test procedure for a biCMOS integrated circuit
  5. Effectively communicate using written and oral reports
