At the unix prompt type; ic The ic window shown in figure 1 comes up. From the session palette on the right under Cell, click on Create. The create cell form comes up. In the Create Cell Form, in the Cell Name box, enter the name of your project. In the Process box enter, $CS43600/PROCESS/SEMI_CUSTOM Click OK A new window, the empty cell window, comes up. Using the pulldown menu, choose; OBJECTS > ADD > CELL
The prompt bar shown below appears at the bottom of the cell window. Enter $CS43600/CS43600, click Location and click on the cell window. The CS3600 Semi-custom chip appears in the cell window.

From the IC palette shown below in figure 2,
under CSC Utilities, select EDIT. In the
CHERRY SEMICONDUCTOR CORP Select Edit Palette, form that
comes up, choose bipolar as shown. Click OK.
Using keys to pan.
Using keys to zoom. Key Stroke ControlPatterns drawn on the screen with the middle mouse button can control the display.
To zoom out all the way, drag a short line diagonally, lower right to upper left.
To zoom in on an area, drag a line upper left to lower right across the area.
For more information on key strokes, drag a question mark,
pattern with the middle button. A
strokes window appears.
ADD > PATHIn the form that comes up, select Metal_#1 . This is layer 12.In the prompt bar that come up, click on OPTIONS
Leave the width at -1 for the default minimum wire width of 8 microns. Width units are microns. Click on Keep Optional Settings and OK.
Use the left mouse button to draw wires. Click to start. Click to change direction. Double click to end a wire.
Select a wire by clicking on it.First select the wire you wish to edit.Select an area by draging the left mouse button over it.
Unselect using a "U" keystroke.
Undo is a upsidedown U keystroke
EDIT Commands
Select File > Cell > Save Cell > All Cells
The next time you want to edit the cell you have to first reserve it.
Select File > Cell > Reserve Cell > Current Context
A confirming message "Cell reserved for edit" appears at the bottom of the screen
Now only you can edit the cell. This prevents two people at different workstations from both trying to make changes at the same time.
Select File > Exit Session
Respond to prompts.
In the form that come up click on Navagate and then pick the cell you want to edit.
You must reserve the cell for editing.
Select File > Cell > Reserve Cell > Current Context
