Plotting with IC Station and icview

Defining a Panel

First select the layout area you wish to plot by defining a panel.

From the pull down menu select

Objects > Add > Panel
In the prompt bar that appears at the bottom of the screen, enter the panel name. If you are in icview click on options and on temporary panel, and OK as shown in figure 1. Then click OK.

To define the area of the panel, click on Rectangle in the prompt bar, then drag the left mouse button across the area.

Plotting a Panel

From Ic Station or icview using the pull down menu select,
File> print > Cell
A selection window comes up. The upper portion is shown in figure 2 on the right. Select Semi-Custom in the Process Select box shown in figure 2.

Click, OK. The Print Cell box shown in figure 3 comes up. Enter the name of the panel.

Enter the scale and click set. The length and width are calculated automatically. If you enter the length or width and click OK the scale will be automatically calculated.

Click Set Layers

When Set Layers is clicked in the Print Cell window, the Print Layers box shown in figure 4 comes up. To plot all layers enter 1-20 and click OK.

Click OK in the Print Cell Window.

A confirming message, "Jobs spooled to mg plot" will appear in the dialog area at the bottom of your screen.

Your plot is now coming out of the plotter.
