DESCRIPTION
The Signal And Systems (SAS) Group is comprised of faculty of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Rhode Island with an interest in the area of signals and systems. The activities range from signal and system theory to the hardware implementation of algorithms. Currently, 12 faculty with strong experience in DSP, control and estimation, advanced system theory, software and hardware design and VLSI implementation techniques participate in the SAS Group. The SAS Group interacts with leading and small industries, government laboratories and agencies and domestic and foreign Universities. Interaction includes: contracts for research and development, agreements for educational offerings and workshops at the graduate level, small scale research projects involving graduate student support and consulting services to industrial and government laboratories.
