A Fulbright Scholar in France in 1981, Dr. Boudreaux-Bartels was also the recipient of Zonta International Amelia Earhart Fellowships in 1979, 1980, and 1981. She has been awarded over $700,000 of research grants from the Office of Naval Research (ONR), Navalex, and the United States Naval Underwater Systems Center, has written three chapters and over fifty refereed journal or conference papers. Representative of these are "Time- Varying Filtering and Signal Estimation Using Wigner Distribution Synthesis Techniques," for which she was awarded the 1988 Senior Paper Award by the IEEE Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing (ASSP) society and "Thinning Digital Filters: A Piecewise- Exponential Approximation Approach". She has received two URI faculty excellence awards and was elected to serve on the IEEE/ASSP National Advisory Committee on Digital Signal Processing. Her research interests are in:
