Jacob Savir is a Distinguished Professor of Electrical
and Computer Engineering at New Jersey Institute of
Technology; the director of Computer Engineering, and
Newark College of Engineering Associate Dean for Research.

Before joining NJIT, Dr. Savir was with IBM where he held 
several positions throughout the company between 1978
and 1996. During his tenure at IBM he received six  
publication awards, and four patent awards. He holds four
US patents.

Dr. Savir is a fellow of IEEE.
