George Chamillard joined Teradyne in 1969 as an engineer. Appointed operations manager of the California-based Semiconductor Test Division in California in 1975, Chamillard returned to Boston in 1981 as vice president for ATE Operations. In 1984, he was appointed vice president for sales at Teradyne Connection Systems, becoming general manager of that division in 1986. He was appointed Executive Vice President in 1994, and elected President, Chief Operating Officer and a member of the Board of Directors in 1996. In May 1997, he was elected Chief Executive Officer. Chamillard is a director of the Semiconductor Equipment and Materials Institute (SEMI), a director of the Semiconductor Industry Suppliers Association (SISA) (formerly SEMI/SEMATECH) and a member of the Advisory Board for the Fabless Semiconductor Association. He is Vice Chairman of the Massachusetts High Technology Council, a director of the Center for Quality of Management and is a member of the Governor's Board of Economic Advisors for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Chamillard sits on the Board of Corporators of the Wentworth Institute and serves on the Corporation Visiting Committee for the Engineering Systems Division of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as Presidential Nominee. He received his BS and MBA degrees from Northeastern University. Chamillard resides in Wellesley, Massachusetts.
