PMC Courses

The seminar courses (PMC 401 and 402) will be used to introduce the PMC activities to our students. The contents of the seminar courses will include introductory lectures, guest lectures from our clinical and industrial partners, tours of laboratories, and field trips to hospitals and industry. Each student will also be required to conduct a small- scale independent study on a relevant topic and give an oral presentation. The PMC403, cross-listed with the Special Problems courses in each department (e.g., 491 and 492), will provide research and design experiences for our undergraduate students. The PMC404 will be administrated in conjunction with out internship programs. The PMC405, which is similar to PMC403 in format, is concerned with the research to aid persons with disabilities. The PMC405 is intended as part of the proposal to NSF for funding of undergraduate research and education in this area. These courses will be taught and supervised by a small group of faculty each semester and rotating among our faculty participants from semester to semester.
