HPCA-11 Call for Papers 11th International Symposium on High-Performance Computer Architecture

Palace Hotel, San Francisco, February 12-16, 2005 http://www.hpcaconf.org/hpca11

The International Symposium on High-Performance Computer Architecture provides a high-quality forum for scientists and engineers to present their latest research findings in this rapidly-changing field. Authors are invited to submit papers on all aspects of high-performance computer architecture. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

Authors should submit an abstract before Monday, July 12, 2004, 9pm PST. They should submit the full version of the paper before Monday, July 19, 2004, 9pm PST. No extensions will be granted. The full version should be a PDF file that does not exceed 6,000 words according to the instructions in http://www.hpcaconf.org/hpca11. Papers that exceed the length limit or that cannot be viewed using Adobe Acrobat Reader (version 3.0 or higher) may not be reviewed. Papers should be submitted for blind review. Please indicate whether the paper is a student paper for best student paper nominations.

Papers will be evaluated based on their novelty, fundamental insights, and potential for long-term contribution. New-idea papers are encouraged.

Submission issues should be directed to the program chair at torrellas@cs.uiuc.edu. Workshop and tutorial submissions should be directed to the workshop and tutorial chair at jared.w.stark@intel.com.

Call for papers: Temperature-Aware Computer Systems **Extended to Apr. 12, 2004, at 11:59pm PDT (no further extensions can be granted).**

This workshop will be held in conjunction with ISCA-31 in Munich, June 19-23. It will serve as a forum to explore a broad spectrum of topics pertaining to temperature-aware computer architecture, for researchers to exchange ideas and initiate collaborations, and will help to establish temperature-aware computing as an important research topic in its own right. International Workshop on Network Design and Architecture (IWNDA) 2004

                            In conjunction with
The 2004 International Conference on Parallel Processing (ICPP-04)
                          Montreal, Quebec, Canada
                                Aug. 15 2004

                  http://www.cs.fsu.edu/~kartik/iwnda.html

Overview

As modern Internet infrastructure grows in size and complexity, new challenges and innovative technologies are rapidly reshaping the networking landscape. IWNDA 2004 aims to provide a forum to discuss the emerging research directions in modern networking architectures and to enable researchers and developers in academia and industry to come together and interact. Original submissions are invited in all areas relevant to networking architecture research. The topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

Traffic engineering and MPLS Overlay network infrastructure
IP over optical networks Metro-scale networking technologies
Network resource allocation Network virtualization
Wireless LANs and mesh networks GPRS and GSM-based access networks
Peer-to-peer networks Sensor networks
Mobility support in wireless networks Trustworthy network infrastructure
Quality-of-Service Route selection, protection and restoration
Congestion management and avoidance Pricing for network access and services

Submission Information

Papers should be in either PS or PDF format, single-spaced, with maximum 12 pages. Please e-mail your contributions to the workshop organizers (kartik@cs.fsu.edu, xyuan@cs.fsu.edu).
