TEAtime installation program V. 2.0-Shield ------------------------------------------ setup.exe gives you the option of installing the TEAtime Documentation, Software, and/or Hardware Design Files. If you have the right hardware, this material should allow you to build a prototype just about the same as the original. Caveats: -------- 1) The software has only been fully tested on Windows 2000 SP4, should work with SP3, and will likely work with the other previous versions of Windows 2000. 2) The software will NOT fully work with Windows XP, vanilla or SP1. The "only" difficulty seems to be that the nifty meter displays will not work. You can still take data, I believe, although I haven't checked it. 3) The installation program gives you the option of installing ONLY the documentation, if you don't want to add executables to your system. 4) Once you've run the installation program, do look at the various readme files in the file system, installed at: %Program Files%\MuRI\TEAtime You can also go the Start menu and look under "TEAtime from MuRI at URI". 5) Contrary to other statements in the installation package, support for this stuff will be minimal. Feel free to ask, but don't be surprised if I can't help, especially if it's a system- specific problem. --------- Best of Luck, have fun! 2004/03/03 Regards, Gus Uht Microarchitecture Research Institute University of Rhode Island muri@ele.uri.edu
