Dec. 8-12, 2014: Dr. Zhu will attend the 2014 IEEE Global Communications Conference (GLOBECOM), held in Austin, TX, USA, for paper presentation, entitled "Coordinated Attacks against Substations and Transmission Lines in Power Grids".

Dec. 3-5, 2014: Dr. Zhu will attend the 2014 IEEE International Workshop on Information Forensics and Security (WIFS), held in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, for poster presentation, entitled "Visualization of Cascading Failures in Power Grids".

Brief Bio:

EDUCATION: Yihai Zhu received the B.S. degree in computer science and technology from the Hefei University of Technology (HFUT), Hefei, China, in 2007, the M.S. degree in pattern recognition and intelligent systems from the University of Science and Technology of China, Hefei, China, in 2010, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Rhode Island, Kingston, RI, USA, in 2014

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Dr. Zhu has served as a voluntary reviewer for more than ten prestigious journals and international conferences: such as IEEE Transactions on Cloud Computing (2014), IEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Signal Processing (2014), IEEE Transactions on Communications (2014), IEEE Signal Processing Letters (2013, 2014), IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics and Security (2012), IEEE GlobalSIP14-Workshop on Information Forensics and Security (2014), IEEE Symposium Series on Computational Intelligence (2014), and 21st ACM Conference on Computer and Communications Security (2014).

RESEARCH INTERESTS: Dr. Zhu has broad research interests, including cybersecurity, smart grid security, cyber-physical systems, big data,and pattern recognition. He was a recipient of the Best Paper Award at the IEEE International Conference on Communications (2014), the Best Bachelor Thesis Award of HFUT (2007), and the Soccer Simulation 3D Award at the RoboCup China Open (2006).
