An IEEE Fellow, professor Yang's research interests include Computer Architectures, Parallel and Distributed Computing (software and hardware), Embedded Computer Systems and Applications, I/O architectures and Data Storage, Storage Networking (SAN, NAS, and LAN), Neural-Machine Interface, Computer application in biomedical engineering.

We just won a $1.38 Millions Grant from NSF-CISE's Cyber Physical System (CPS) Program entitled "Towards Neural-controlled Artificial Legs using High-Performance Embedded Computers" Our research team includes Dr. Helen Huang, Dr. Yan Sun, and Dr. Qing Yang, all in the Dept. of ECBE. I am currently looking for new Ph.D. students to join this world's top research team to pioneer the future of Neural-Machine Interface.
